Basketball

This year, SCCS has basketball teams for middle school boys and varsity boys. Basketball season runs November through February, with practices beginning in October. All students are permitted to play, All students must have a “c” average with no “f” ‘s. SCCS competes in the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools athletic division for regional and state tournaments.

Middle school boys (grades 6-8) will practice from 2:20-3:30 pm each day. Varsity boys (grades 9-12) will practice from 3:25 to 5:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (there will be an occasional Wednesday). If your child wishes to play they need to be at practice each day or let Mr. Koster know ahead of time that they will be absent.

Sports physical forms are required for all players 7th grade and up. Sports medical information forms, concussion forms, and cardiac arrest forms are required for every player. Forms were given out at practice and must be turned in before the first game (sports physicals are valid for 1 year and all other paperwork has to be filled out annually). You may download the forms from the website under the athletics tab if needed.

The $50 athletic fee was due by November 1. The athletic fee is a 1 time fee for the year.
